Vale Ratu Tevita Makutu (David)

Vale Ratu Tevita Makutu (David)

The Bilo Bar Club is saddened to learn of the passing of Ratu Tevita Makutu (David). Ratu Tevita Makutu passed away peacefully at the Sigatoka Hopistal on Sunday 16 February 2020.

It’s safe to say that many generations of Bilo Bar Club members have many wonderful memories of David, some from around the Kava bowl, some as he serenaded us as we sat around the Lagoon lawns and others the memory of a true Fijian whose heart was filled with love and adoration.

Please, join us in sending our sincere sympathy and heartfeldt condoloences to his family, village and friends.

We go back to 1988 when I first met David and will miss him sitting down outside our room singing the Rose and If I were a Butterfly. A true character who made each and everyone of the people who came in contact with him welcomed to his country Fiji, RIP David

My dearest friend of 37 years! What a hole your passing has left in my life! You lived next door to me for Two years when you lived in Brisbane at Alcorn College Kangaroo Point. I visited u many times in Cuvu Village. I was just soooo glad that u got to know my wife and officiated at the ceremony for our renewal of our wedding vows for our 20th anniversary at the Cuvu Village Church! Rest In Peace my brother in the arms of Jesus! Isa Lei Wetai (till we meet again my friend). Ropate and Rene Kovi (Australia)
